Gerald began his law enforcement career in 1985 with the Ocoee Police Department in Central Florida, during which he served as a Patrol Officer, Corporal, and Traffic Homicide Investigator.  In 1987, he accepted a Deputy Sheriff position with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Orlando, FL.  During his tenure, Gerald served as a Patrol Deputy, Narcotics Investigator and Internal Affairs Agent.  In 1993, he returned home to Baker County Florida and accepted an Investigator position with the 8th Circuit of Florida State Attorney’s Office, where he served as a Narcotics Investigator in a multi-agency drug task force.  In 1997, Gerald accepted a position with Baker County Sherri’s Office, where he served as Director of Operations for Law Enforcement until his retirement in December 2016.

Gerald has been a certified Law Enforcement instructor for the State of Florida for over 25 years; teaching many subjects, to include Narcotics Investigations, Interviews and Interrogations, Internal Investigations, Report Writing, Field Training Officer, and Firearms.  He has a BA in Criminal Justice from Columbia College.  He has also graduated from the 243rd Session of the FBI National Academy.  Has served as the Chairman of Juvenile Justice for Baker County, Florida and is a consultant for the State of Florida Law Enforcement State Exam committee.

In 2017, Gerald joined Dunkin Lewis, accepting a position with our Law Enforcement division.  This position gives him the opportunity to continue networking with many contacts and friends made during his 32 year career.  He continues to have a passion for the public service and an appreciation for those serving on the front lines, and this give me the opportunity to inform and offer these people the very best products available to perform their duties in the most safe and effective manner possible.
